Air
Easy and effective access to European transport networks is essential for multinational companies. Two international airports provide air links between Bratislava and the rest of the world, with most major European cities within two hours´ flight time. The M. R. Stefanik International Airport in Bratislava, one of the fastest growing transport hubs in Europe, is situated a mere 15 minutes´drive from the city centre, and Vienna´s Schwechat Airport is only a 35 minute drive from Bratislava. Bratislava´s airport has both the potential for expansion and the ambition to grow and develop. A new passenger terminal is scheduled for completion by 2010 which will increase the airport´s capacity to 3,5 million passengers per annum. Following the reconstruction of the existing terminal, scheduled for completion in 2012, it is estimated that the airport will be able to carry up to 5 million passengers per annum. The improved facilities and increase in capacity resulting from this redevelopment will result in a greater choice of flights to both existing and new destinations. By furher enhancing the city´s accessibility these developments will help to make Bratislava an ever more attractive location and raise its profile on the European stage. -
Road
First-rate motorways make it possible to drive from EUROVEA CENTRAL to Budapest in less than two hours, and to Prague in three and a half. An effective circulation system of bypasses conneting major motorways helps to avoid downtown traffic jams. An great contribution to the fluency of traffic has been made by the opening of the newly built motoway between Bratislava and Vienna which has cut the travel time between the two cities to less than an hour, enabling closer business ties between the capitals of Slovakia and Austria. -
Train
An interesting transportation alternative between Prague, Brno, Bratislava and Vienna is now offered by the high-speed Pendolino train which covers the distance between the Czech capital and Bratislava in less than four hurs. The advantage of high-speed trains such as the Pendolino is not only the reduced journey time but also the fact that they can offer a trouble-free journey so that it becomes possible to utilise travel time for work, the train effectively becoming a mobile office. -
Local Transport
Besides the advantages that stem from the project´s location in the city centre, EUROVEA CENTRAL also has its own detailed infrastructure plan. Connection between city quatrers on the two banks of the Danube is currently provided by five bridges. EUROVEA CENTRAL lies between the newest, Apollo Bridge, and the Old Bridge which is the oldest bridge in Bratislava. Reconstruction of the Old Bridge is planned in the coming years, which should include the construction of tracks for a new high-speed tram which will provide an effective and convenient connection to the city centre from the south bank of the Danube and will mean a significantly quicker journey to work for inhabitants of the Petrzalka area who work in the city centre.
For Bratislavans commuting to work from other parts of the city, fast connection to all main roads and an excellent public transport network make EUROVEA CENTRAL´s location ideal. There are plans for extending the existing bus lines in Bratislava, including the construction of a new bus station and a high-speed tram link station close to the EUROVEA city quarter, which will significantly facilitate everyday travel to work. -
Parking
Dspite its central location, parking problems often encountered by visitors to some city centre properties will not be an issue for visitors to EUROVEA, even during the busiest hours of the working day. In addition to parking places reserved for managers, employees and customers of companies based in EUROVEA CENTRAL, all visitors will benefit from the largest underground car park in the city centre, offering more than 1,700 parking places. -
River
An important element in EUROVEA will be access to the hydrofoil ferries which are set to permanently change traditional views of transportation in Bratislava. Pontoons will be built on the EUROVEA riverfront, serving as platforms for boats heading to Vienna and other destinations. -
Pedestrian access
Owing to its unique location in the city centre, EUROVEA CENTRAL will also be easily accessible to pedestrians from any of the key residential areas, as well as from the numerous charming spots of the historical centre.
